Sarah Hellowell
She is an ADI with qualifications that include The Diamond Special Test, Pass Plus and Cardington Special Test. She has been a fully qualified instructor for over 21 years and takes pride in offering a professional, calm and safe environment that will help you pass your test.
Rob Kedge
Rob has 21 years experience as an ADI. He is a patient and friendly instructor able to adapt to teaching methods to suit each individual person. Rob is one of our instructors who teaches with an automatic vehicle for those wishing to drive automatic cars. As well as an ADI Rob is a Pass Plus and Fleet trainer.
Ryan Fawcett
Ryan is a qualified driving instructor and has been teaching for over 6 years. Ryan is a Business Management graduate who has spent 5 years in sales before deciding to become a qualified driving instructor in York. Ryan enjoys working with all ages and thrives on the challenge and success of helping people pass their tests.
Adam Milling
I was a postie for 15 years, and I had a passion to further myself. I have always been a confident driver, and this has encouraged me to teach others to drive. I am friendly, easy to approach, listen to people's opinion and can get along with anyone. I am enjoying the change of working environment and have found Sarah and the Check Mirrors team a great support, and a pleasure to work beside.
Kirsty Easthope
I joined Checkmirrors for a change of career and to further myself, and I can honestly say my Checkmirrors journey has been one of the best decisions of my life. I couldn’t wait to learn to drive as soon as I was 17, and I’ve enjoyed and loved driving ever since. I’m patient, calm and personable and I’ve always been a safe and confident driver. My passion and love for driving inspired me to teach others a skill for life. I personally can’t imagine not driving and the independence that it brings to one’s life. Teaching others this life changing skill is incredibly rewarding and being part of the Checkmirrors team is fantastic.
Sam Harrisson
My passion for driving goes beyond simply getting a license at 18 (with Sarah from Checkmirrors). I've dedicated myself to honing my skills through Cat C licenses, advanced driving courses, and even experience driving tanks, HGVs, and navigating roads across the UK and abroad. This diverse background allows me to understand vehicles and road situations from a wider perspective. While experience is valuable, I believe the real key to successful instruction lies in creating a calm and supportive learning environment. Learning to drive can be stressful, and I prioritize clear communication and patience. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to their individual needs and learning style.
Ahmed Yousif
I arrived in the UK in 2014 as an international student and completed my master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language in 2016. Originally from Iraq, moving to the UK was a significant transition for me at the time. After being granted permission to stay in the UK, I decided to continue my studies. I first completed an Access to Science course before enrolling in a BSc in Adult Nursing. However, due to medical and health circumstances, I was unable to complete the degree. Despite this, I was awarded a Higher Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Following that, I pursued a Level 3 qualification in Community Interpreting and worked in that field for a while. I also gained experience as a teaching assistant in a school.
By chance, I once helped a friend prepare for her driving test, and she surprised me by saying that I was far better than the two instructors she had previously trained with. Her compliment caught me off guard and made me reconsider my career path. This moment of realization led me to explore the field of driving instruction, and I embarked on the journey to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), which I am proud to be today.
Fadhil Ghayadh
Hi my name is Fadhil Ghayadh as a newly certified driving instructor, I bring a fresh and enthusiastic approach to teaching the essential skills needed for safe driving. With a passion for driving and helping others succeed, I am committed to making my students feel confident and comfortable behind the wheel. My approach is patient and adaptable, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to the individual needs of my students. I believe that safety is the top priority, and I work closely with my students to ensure they understand the rules of the road and the importance of responsible driving. Whether you’re a first-time driver or looking to improve your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Naaman Hudson
Naaman is the checkmirrors web developer and has been working in web development for over 10 years, he has worked with a range of different industries from automotive to financial services. Anything digital for checkmirrors, Naaman is our man.
